• About me
• My name is Lindy Woods. I am a 5th Degree Black Belt in Chun Kuk Do. I own and operate Dunamis Karate, a faith based karate school, in Ridgeland, SC. I am a wife and mother of one daughter, Andi.
  
  
  CKD is the martial art founded by Chuck Norris. The phrase "Chun Kuk Do" means "Universal Way." This art evolved from Chuck Norris' original training in Tang Soo Do. This development has included the evolution and integration of Tang Soo Do with elements of Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Judo and many other martial arts.
  
  
  I started my CKD training in 1993 earning my 1st degree in 1997. In 2001, as a 2nd Degree, I opend my own dojo as an outreach of my church. We quickly outgrew the church and had to set up our business status and start charging for classes in order to pay rent in a commercial building. In 2005, we purchased our own building... the same store front building that we started in under the church in 2001. How awesome is that!

8 Mar 10 BBFC Jacksonville Tournament

Five students from Dunamis Karate traveled to Jacksonville, FL this weekend for the first Black Belts For Christ tournament of the 2010 season. I hope to have their stats posted soon. But in the meantime, thank you to: Andi Woods, Dani Neiderhiser, DeAndre Brown, Emmanuel Sanford and Sami Neiderhiser for making the trip and representing our school and our style with honor!
