What is your favorite part of Training? 1 Year, 7 Months ago Karma: 1
I can say for certain I am no expert. I've taken only 6 classes so far, 9 hours worth of training total, but I love my Tae Kwon Do classes. I love the whole body and mind work out. I love the way I feel when it's over. Not tired, or wore out exhausted. I actually feel energized. Like I could do it again.

So what is your favorite part?

I like every aspect of training. I love taking individual movements from a traditional form and working on it before putting it back into the form. Something I learn't whilst teaching, Itroduce the technique, Isolate it and then intergrate it into the form. Love that.
I also enjoy the forms themselves aswell as sparring.
I'm now into creative forms and have set up my clubs demo team of which I train. Love competing...I just love everything about training!!

How cool. I've only done the one form. But I have it down pat. Which drives my hubby insane since he doesn't yet. but to me it's alot like Ballroom dancing. Only no heels.

Normally after a day at uni the thought of going to training is a draining one and most nights I feel I want to skip it, but I know that when I do go I am filled with the most amazing sense of well being and contentment. So I guess my favourite moment is the moment I leave training and start to feel the energy and release that it gives me!

My favorite part of training was always one steps ... especially when I got high enough in rank to creat my own. I love the freedom of that and being able to show my

~S~ At 49 years young I dont care much for all the exercising we do, But a strong body make's for strong Karate. I love doing forms and learning what the form realy is. After all way back when, each form was a separate fighting stile that you would spend a life time mastering. I have to know 21 forms for my Black belt. I will spend the rest of my life trying to master them. Just becouse you look good doing them, dosent mean you know them.

I enjoy just about every part of training, but I really enjoy the cardio workout. I can have a mediocre day at work and feel exhausted as I enter the dojang, but once we get started I feel GREAT!

Love that feeling!

I didn't mean to imply I knew it prefect. What I meant to say was that I can do the steps without having to look around me. I need to prefect the motions and work on doing it all in time with the rest of the group. I do realize I will spend a life time perfecting what I am learning. No doubt.

~S~ CristyK1 please dont take my last post as a negitive one to you or anyone else. I was just saying how I feel about forms(kata) and how I love doing them. To me the secret to ones system is hiden in the forms, and I love being a student of the kata. Keep training and have fun doing it.

Interesting how many of us enjoy forms. When I first started, I hated 'em cos I couldn't see (wasn't shown ) how they could apply. Now awhile later, love learning, teaching, and (always) relearning forms. We require a dozen from white to black belt.
